Episode 15 Medicare

This episode about Medicare and how much you pay for it while you're working. This is deducted from your PAYCHECK just like Social Security.

Payroll taxes: Employees and employers each pay a 1.45% Medicare tax on all earnings. Self-employed individuals pay the full 2.9%.

Income cap: There is no wage limit or yearly cap for this tax. It is deducted from everyone’s earnings.

Additional taxes for high earners: Higher-income taxpayers pay an additional 0.9% tax on earnings above a certain threshold ($200,000 for single filers, $250,000 for married couples filing jointly).

So, unlike Social Security tax there is no annual limit the 1.45% Medicare tax is applied to everyone’s covered wages. Other words unlike the Social Security tax where the rich don't pay their fair share, Medicare the rich pay more than the workers.

Employer withholding: Your employer is required to start withholding an additional 0.9% once your annual wage exceeds $200,000, regardless of your filing status. The appropriate tax is then reconciled when you file your tax return.

The employer withholdings I have a problem with. Because corporations or employers make rules and regulations for the company that may or may not abide by the law, they should pay at least 1.49% on top of the .9%.

Let me give you an example of how Corporations violate human health.

If this were to happen, we could have Medicare for all and there would be no use for Medicaid which would make it easier than the convoluted system that we have now.

I only say this because of all the workers that end up being disabled while working on the job. This would make it easier for them to be treated for their injuries. When I was poisoned while loading food products at a food warehouse I ended up going through my life savings before workman's comp or social services would be able to help me. This strikes the whole family down. And the employer laughs his way to the bank because they don't have to pay for the injuries.

Here Is the information/ documentation I used to make this video.

These five PSOA chemical exposure documentations are here to show you that corporations make the money off the products but then say that too clean up after themselves would put them out of business. It shows that they want the American public to clean up, so they don't have to pay for it. In other words, they're too big to fail just like the banks in 2008!

Why should Americans have to live with illnesses that can be prevented just because the business is too big to fail. These businesses should be paying for our health care seeing that they made the crisis.
